Growing up, I was isolated, not just left out of conversation, but left out of life. Nobody around me knew sign language, not even my own family. I was surrounded, but still alone.

Y'all teach your kids ABCs, the math, sports, but what about connection? What about inclusion? Teaching your kids ASL ain't just a skill. It's a lifeline.
